Mitsui&Co studying effect of Arctic LNG 2 blacklisting by US

TOKYO, Dec 28 (PRIME) -- Mitsui&Co, participating in Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) project Arctic LNG 2, is carefully studying the effect of its blacklisting by the U.S., a representative for the company told PRIME on Thursday.

"Our company will continue to carefully study the effect arising from the Arctic LNG 2 company falling under the U.S. sanctions and will take necessary measures taking into account the rights and obligations of consortium J-Arc and the company based on various agreements beginning with the agreement between the rights holders," the official said.

The representative declined to comment on a media report that the company had summoned its employees from the Russian project to Japan.
